2010 - Looking Back

Lazing on the rotating chair in my office, I realized that a short and sweet 2010 is almost over. Though not many happenings in my life there has been a lot in the country and around (IPL, Kalmadi, 2G, Dabangg, Facebook, Wikileaks to name a few), which you will be updated on repeatedly if you turn on your television sets. The atmosphere here at work these few days is quite sober and silent with half the crowd on vacation. It's not that there is no work to do, in fact my marketing job is quite hectic here but c’mon, why are people so eager to develop applications at this time of year!

Looking back at this awesome year I realized that my life has taken quite a bit of turn in the last 365 days. I have not completed any of the resolutions I had planned for 2010 and again have my list ready for 2011. Yes, I am a big time planner. I like to plan everything very meticulously but the results are always quite different than apprehended.

2010 has been a year of career for me. Giving the right direction to my career was an important task at hand this year. I am not sure where it is going now but I guess I have been able to find the right track. Relationships were out of control, with almost everything falling out of place; but managed to have a breath-taking holiday with my family, in Goa where I had an amazing photography session, loads of sea food and the Arabian Sea. Then there was a series of movies that I watched with my weekly visits to the multiplexes and single screens during the first half of the year. It was also a year of ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S’ for me where I completed the entire 10 Seasons at a row and fell in love with it. Back in July, I also learnt a bit of German from the Goethe Institute (credits to my former employer) and amazingly messed up an interview with HP for a German Language ‘Specialist’ role.

But overall the best thing that happened to me in 2010 is this blog; a place where I could share my experiences and thoughts, which I am sure not many people would be reading! Therefore looking forward to write and share more of my rumblings the coming 2011 with newer plans, resolutions and dreams. Wish all of you who are reading this blog a very happy new year ahead.
